Home The concept of autonomous driving is now…
TREKTOR is the first hybrid agricultural robot developed by Sitia in France and is capable of working in different agricultural environments including vineyards, market gardening and open-air vegetable growing and even fruit tree cultivation. The robot has been designed to be flexible, allowing it to adjust its height and width to suit different crops and the agricultural implements it carries.TREKTOR uses GNSS RTK navigation technology, which means that it can achieve centimetre-level accuracy, whilst sensors and bumpers act as additional safety measures. As it is a hybrid vehicle, powered by diesel and batteries, it can work 24/7 without stopping.
Sitia focuses on innovations in autonomous robotics to address the shortage of agricultural labour, particularly on organic farms where weeding is much more labour intensive due to restrictions on the use of herbicides.TREKTOR robots offer a flexible solution that can be adjusted in height and width to suit a variety of working environments and can be swapped out with farm implements as required to perform different functions.
Sitia's commitment to innovation is reflected in its development of the TREKTOR robot. The company's approach combines research in automation, robotics and environmental science to create products that address the pressing challenges of modern agriculture.Sitia's commitment to sustainability and efficiency drives its ongoing efforts to improve TREKTOR and ensure it meets the changing needs of the farming community.
