CACI has been awarded a contract to provide support in the area of precise navigation and timing (PNT) to the United States Space Command
CACI International was recently awarded a contract valued at up to $450 million for ten years to support the Joint Navigation Warfare Centre (JNWC), an operational centre of the U.S. Space Force - Space, and the Department of Defense's (DoD) Navigational Warfare Centre of Excellence (NAVWAR) . Under the contract, CACI will provide 24/7 operational support, joint and operational planning, enemy positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) capability assessments, and battle sequence assessments, among other tasks, in support of joint force, DoD combatant commanders, interagency, and allied NAVWAR requirements.
In this area, Septentrio, a leading provider of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) solutions, has a significant advantage in high-precision positioning technology with its products.Septentrio's Septentrio Mosaic GNSS Module is a receiver designed specifically for high-precision applications, which is capable of delivering, under difficult conditions, decimetre or centimetre positioning accuracy in difficult conditions. The module supports multi-frequency, multi-constellation systems including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and NavIC, as well as SBAS augmentation systems, ensuring worldwide application performance.
Septentrio Mosaic GNSS modules incorporate advanced anti-interference technology (AIM+) that monitors, tags and mitigates narrowband and broadband interference, providing a best-in-class anti-jamming and anti-spoofing solution. This technology is critical to ensuring the reliability of PNT capabilities in jamming environments. In addition, the module features ultra-low power consumption, making it ideal for mass market applications such as robotics and autonomous systems.
PNT is critical to U.S. national security, and NAVWAR includes deliberate defensive and offensive actions to secure and prevent PNT use through space, cyber, and electronic warfare, an enduring mission in the world of multi-domain warfare. Under the contract, CACI mission specialists will support Marine Corps global back-up operations through the Joint Naval Operations Center (JNOC) and assist combatant commanders in improving operational capabilities in areas where PNT is disrupted, denied and degraded.
The Septentrio Mosaic GNSS module is designed to integrate easily into existing systems, supporting multiple connectivity options such as Ethernet, COM ports, USB 2.0 and SD memory cards. This modularity and flexibility allows it to be adapted to a variety of different application scenarios, from military to civilian, providing reliable positioning and timing services.
In addition, JNWC, as a subordinate of the Joint Force Space Component Command of the U.S. Space Command, is primarily responsible for planning an integrated navigation war globally, tasking, integrating, charging, and supporting the various dimensions.CACI will enhance JNWC's operational capabilities in areas of disruption, denial, or degradation of positioning, navigation, and timing, including operational site assessment, war simulation scenario modelling and battlefield simulation scenario evolution to assist combatant commanders in attempting navigation missions.
In this process, the high performance and reliability of Septentrio Mosaic GNSS modules will provide strong technical support to CACI, ensuring accurate PNT solutions in a variety of complex environments. This cooperation not only enhances military operational capabilities, but also provides advanced positioning technology for the civilian sector, advancing the PNT industry as a whole.
The partnership is a great opportunity for the PNT industry as a whole.
