Product description

The ZED-F9P positioning module incorporates multi-band Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Real Time Kinematics (RTK) technology within a compact form factor, thereby enabling the delivery of centimetre-level accuracy in a matter of seconds for applications within the industrial navigation and robotics markets.


The ZED-F9P concurrently utilises signals from the Global Positioning System (GPS), the Russian Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS), the European Galileo System of Navigation, the Chinese BeiDou System, and the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (NavIC). The combination of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals from multiple frequency bands with Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) technology enables rapid convergence times and reliable performance for scalable applications, including robotic lawnmowers, unmanned autonomous vehicles (UAV), and semi-automated or fully automated machinery.


The ZED-F9P module is well suited to highly dynamic applications such as UAVs, offering a high update rate and low power consumption. It provides security for positioning and navigation information through the use of secure interfaces and advanced jamming and spoofing detection technologies, including Galileo OSNMA. The receiver facilitates straightforward integration and enables product developers to expeditiously bring their ideas to market.


The ZED-F9P offers comprehensive support for a diverse range of correction services, enabling each application to optimise its performance in accordance with its distinctive set of requirements. The ZED-F9P is equipped with integrated support for standard RTCM corrections, facilitating centimetre-level navigation from local base stations or from virtual reference stations (VRS) in a Network RTK configuration. Additionally, the module provides compatibility with SPARTN format SSR-type correction services, making it suitable for deployment in mass market applications.


U-blox modules are manufactured in facilities that have been certified in accordance with the ISO/TS 16949 standard and are subjected to comprehensive testing at the system level. Qualification tests are conducted in accordance with the ISO 16750 standard, which outlines the requisite environmental conditions and testing procedures for electrical and electronic equipment utilized in road vehicles.
