The NEO-F9P positioning module incorporates the u-blox F9 receiver platform, which offers multi-band GNSS positioning for high-volume industrial applications in a compact form factor. The NEO-F9P is a multi-band GNSS module with integrated u-blox multi-band RTK technology, enabling centimetre-level accuracy. The module facilitates precise navigation and automation of moving industrial machinery through the use of a small, surface-mounted module.
The NEO-F9P module has been designed with the objective of facilitating integration and reducing design-in costs, while simultaneously minimising the number of components required in the bill of materials (BOM). Its compact dimensions, lightweight construction and low power consumption make it an ideal candidate for mass market adoption.
The NEO-F9P system is designed to guarantee the security of positioning and navigation data by utilising secure interfaces and sophisticated jamming, spoofing, and mitigation detection technologies.
The NEO-F9P offers comprehensive support for a diverse range of open correction services, enabling each application to optimise performance in accordance with its specific requirements. The NEO-F9P is equipped with integrated support for standard RTCM corrections, facilitating centimetre-level navigation from local base stations or from virtual reference stations (VRS) in a Network RTK configuration. Additionally, the module utilises PPP-RTK services, which are well-suited for mass-market applications that are formatted as SPARTN.
U-blox modules are manufactured in facilities that have been certified in accordance with the ISO/TS 16949 standard and are subjected to comprehensive testing at the system level. Qualification tests are conducted in accordance with the ISO 16750 standard, which outlines the requisite environmental conditions and testing procedures for electrical and electronic equipment utilized in road vehicles.
