The recently initiated NAVISP INSPIRe project has the objective of enhancing integrity

Under the European Space Agency's (ESA) NAVISP programme, the INSPIRe (Integrated Navigation System PNT Integrity Resilience) project focuses on providing maritime users with a solution for the integrity of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-based positioning, navigation and time (PNT) services. navigation and time (PNT) services based on GNSS. Septentrio and its  Mosaic GNSS module are key players to watch in this area.

Septentrio is a company specialising in the design, manufacture and sale of high-precision GPS/GNSS receivers for demanding applications requiring sub-metre or centimetre accuracy, providing accurate and reliable position information even under difficult conditions.

Septentrio Mosaic GNSS modules, specifically the mosaic-X5, is a low-power surface mount module designed for mass market applications such as robotics and autonomous systems. It is capable of tracking all Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) satellite systems that support current and future signals using Septentrio  AIM+ technology, an advanced on-board interference mitigation technology that suppresses a wide range of interference.

Offering best-in-class positioning performance, especially in challenging environments, the mosaic-X5 module is a multi-band, multi-constellation GPS/GNSS receiver. It supports all current and future GNSS satellite signals and features unique built-in AIM+ technology for interference mitigation and anti-spoofing to ensure optimal availability, reliability and accuracy.

In addition, the mosaic-X5 includes an intuitive web-based user interface that makes operation and monitoring easier, allowing the receiver to be controlled from any device or computer.

The combination of the INSPIRe project with Septentrio and its Mosaic GNSS module provides strong technical support to the maritime sector, advancing the development of GNSS-derived PNT integrity solutions. Through these technologies, the project is able to provide maritime users with more reliable and accurate navigation and positioning services, enhancing the safety and efficiency of maritime navigation.
