OneWeb has initiated the provision of an alternative PNT service, designated as Astra

OneWeb Technologies, Inc. announced the commercial availability of its Astra solution, an innovative packaged solution designed to ensure seamless Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications connectivity and operational performance when GPS/Global Navigation Satellite Signals (GNSS) are unavailable or compromised.The Astra solution includes a software-defined outdoor receiver that taps into the A-PNT broadcast service for enhanced connectivity resilience.The Astra receiver is capable of processing PNT (positioning, navigation and timing) signals from GNSS as well as other alternate sources and bands, enabling sustained connectivity and situational awareness, even in very hostile spectrum-competitive environments.
